DISCIPLINE POLICY

 

The rules and regulations shall be talked about and voted on during the first day of band.  The students will suggest any rules to be approved by the director.  Any rules may be changed or applied to any specific situation at any time with the permission of the director ONLY.  Some mandatory rules will be:

 

·         1. JDJ High School rules and regulations will be enforced at all times including all trips and performances.

·         2. No Student will be permitted to perform unless health form, and band contract have been completed, signed and returned to the director.

·         3. All Marching Band music must be memorized!

·         4. All Members will leave and return with the band for all performances. (if there is a problem, a note and a phone call is needed.)

·         5. No Friends, relatives will be permitted to ride the buses

·         6. All Members must sit in their appropriate sections. Friends and Family will NOT be permitted to sit inside the band during performances.

·         7. Each Member is RESPONSIBLE for their own lyre and stand music.

·         8. NO FOOD will be permitted in the stands during the football games.

·         9. NO Public Display of Affection (PDA.)

·         10. All members must STAY together at band competitions. Must sit together as a Band for the results.

·         11. RESPECT for one another. RESPECT for equipment crew. RESPECT for Band Parents. RESPECT for Band staff including SECTION LEADERS.

·         12. RESPECT for your instrument, equipment and uniform

Breaking of these rules, and the ruled decided on by the students can and will:

- Lower your grade

- Prevent you from participating in football games, contests, trips, or any other function the director feels is appropriate.

- Expulsion from the JDJHS Band!

- Any other measures the director see fit for any specific situation.
